Life Rules I’ve Learned Along the Way, the Hard Way.

Over the past 15 years I have gone from mid-six figures to zero and back again.

  • Went from mid-six-figures to less than Zero;
  • Quit drinking (13 yrs), made a plan, stuck to guns; and
  • Raised a family, exited a business, started a business, back to 6-figures.

All of these things have taught me a tremendous amount about what matters in life, and what doesn’t.

These are a few of my new rules for life:

Solutions, not problems

Like I tell my kids, EVERY problem can be overcome so relax, think of the solution, figure out how to make it happen, and drive on.

Take time for self

I used to wake up early, dive into work, and bam! 12 hours gone and I’m exhausted, no family or social life.

Today, I take time for self throughout the day and practice deep work to get shit done for my clients.

Practice being grateful

If you’re a recovering narcissist like me, this is a tough one. Take time in the mornings to write down three (3) things/people you are grateful for and why.

I promise you, it’s a game changer.

No Plan B

If you believe in what you’re doing, even when no one sees the vision but you, go for it but forget the safety net. The safety net is a limiting factor and stunts drive and growth.
